City police arrested an Independence, Missouri woman over the weekend on stolen vehicle and drug possession charges.

20-year-old Laura L. Holloway was arrested on counts of possession of a stolen or converted vehicle, and possession of methamphetamine.

Police say Holloway actually summoned police after she had locked her car with her child inside and couldn't get the car open. While opening the car, police also ran a check on the vehicle and found it had been stolen.

In the meantime, Holloway, after getting into the car, began to leave the scene. Police stopped her and also found the meth inside the vehicle.

Holloway was also charged with endangering the life of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no valid driver's license.

Holloway was taken to Effingham County Jail.
