City to Begin Flushing Hydrants This Monday

The Effingham Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants on the north end of town and south to Fayette Avenue on Monday.

Weather permitting, they will continue to flush the north end and will notify residents when they start flushing the south end of town.

Please check your water before doing any laundry. Water may be discolored because of the hydrant flushing. 

Please flush your faucets until you see no discoloration or sedimentation.

The City will continue flushing until the south side of the city is completed.
