Details Released on Semis Blown Off Interstate During Wednesday Storms

Illinois State Police have released information on the three incidents during the 7pm hour Wednesday when semis were blown off Interstate 70.
One incident occurred at 7:02pm on the westbound lanes five miles west of Montrose. A rig driven by 51-year-old Marco Flored-Fraga of Apodaca, Mexico was forced onto its side by the storms and strong winds. The semi ended up in the median.
Flored-Fraga was transported for treatment of what were termed minor injuries.

At 7:15pm, a box truck driven by 48-year-old Larry Brumley of Georgetown, Kentucky, was westbound three miles east of Greenup when wind gusts from a thunderstorm pushed the truck across the roadway. The truck overturned and came to rest in the median.
Brumley was transported for treatment of minor injuries.

At 7:20pm, a semi driven by 62-year-old James Harris of Sikeston, Missouri was westbound when the severe weather and strong winds forced the rig onto its side and into the median.
Harris was taken for treatment of minor injuries. The incident occurred three miles east of Montrose.

There were other similar incidents farther east into Clark County.
