Law enforcement sounded the storm warning sirens in Effingham Wednesday evening after a caller reported rotation aloft in the area of the Keller Drive interchange.

The sirens were sounded just after 6pm. No storms had occurred as of 6:30pm.

There are strong storms in the area north and west of the Effingham area, such as Taylorville and in Moultrie County.

Our listening area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9pm.
