Sarah Bush Lincoln Institutes Temporary Staffing Reductions

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System has announced it has temporarily implemented a staffing reduction while navigating through the coronavirus pandemic.

A press release from Sarah Bush states it has adjusted staffing levels to meet patient volumes. The short-term reduction has affected nearly every area of the Health Center, which has 2,450 employees.

The reduction is an equivalent of 512 full-time employees. Some employees' work weeks were reduced by a number of hours, days or weeks depending on their job roles. They all retain benefits and employment status.

Sarah Bush Lincoln has also adjusted its clinic operating hours. The Effingham Surgery Clinic and Effingham Urology is open 8am to 4pm Monday through Thursday and 8am to noon on Fridays.
