715 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Thursday in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Thursday announced 715 new cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois, including 16 additional deaths.
12 of the deaths occurred in Cook County, along with one death each in Christian, DuPage, McHenry and Whiteside counties.
Four of the Cook County deaths involved those younger than 50 years old. In the other four counties, all of the deaths involved those in their 60s or older.
Logan, Macoupin, Mercer, Moultrie and Piatt counties are now reporting cases, along with the announcement of the first Effingham County case Wednesday evening.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 7,695 cases, including 157 deaths in 61 Illinois counties.

Governor J.B. Pritzker at Thursday's briefing introduced an initiative to be known as "All In Illinois". The governor asked citizens to show by videos, social media posts, signs in their yards, that they are supporting the stay-at-home effort.
