4th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Kimberly Koester has ordered that only people who have court proceedings, probation, attorney meetings, or fines to pay, will be allowed to enter the Effingham County Government Center, the courts building on Jefferson Avenue in downtown Effingham. No visitors or spectators will be allowed.

Caretakers providing physical assistance and juveniles will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

The order is in effect until March 30. Follow local news and the Sheriff's Office Facebook account for updates.
