
More Than $44,000 Raised from Polar Plunge

More than $44,000 has been raised so far from the 2020 Polar Plunge held Saturday to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
There were 228 plungers. A preliminary total of $44,458.26 has been raised.
Golden Plunger award winners were:
Best Individual Costume--Ashly Thompson for her Bob Ross costume
Top Cop Trophy--Tom Webb of Effingham City Police Department, $720
Highest Amount Raised by an Individual--Ken Thompson, $5,300
Most Funds Raised by a Regular Plunge Team--Olympics Dreamers, $6,100
Oldest Plunger Award--Vicky Dicky, age 71
