Three oversized loads will be traveling through the area south and east of Effingham in the next few weeks. The first load is coming through this week, headed for the Marathon Refinery in Robinson.
The 24-foot-wide refinery unit left Mt. Vernon, Indiana Monday morning and was headed to the truck stop in Grayville, where it will be parked for the night. Tomorrow (Tuesday), the load will travel from Grayville to Olney, with Illinois Route 130 completely shut down in that area from 8am to 4pm. The load will be parked overnight Tuesday at CGB in Olney.
The third leg of the trip will be Wednesday, moving from Olney along US Route 50 west to Noble, then back to Olney along old Route 250, then north on Illinois Route 130 to Newton.
Leg Four of the trip is Thursday, from Newton to Robinson along Illinois Route 33.
All motorists along those routes should make alternate plans for travel on the affected days.
The final two oversized loads will be made the next two weeks, with the same route of travel and the same closures expected.
