Teutopolis village board members Wednesday approved a Wooden Shoe Development subdivision plat on the west edge of the village.

Teutopolis Village Clerk Sharon Will said the subdivision was necessary as a six-acre tract of the land is being sold to a business planning to locate in the commercial park.

The Village Board also agreed to seek updated figures on the design of a new village hall. The project has been discussed off and on for many years, and the Village has been setting funds aside for the work.

The Board authorized Village President Greg Hess to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Siemer Milling Company; and discussed illegal sewer hook ups in the village and how to address the situation.

Board members passed an ordinance amending an earlier measure and authorizing the sale of real estate; and authorized an amendment to certificates of platting and certificates of restrictions and covenants in Prairie View Subdivision. The Board also voted to pass a resolution approved the plat of Wessel Subdivision; approved a policy prohibiting sexual harassment; and amended the amount of money to be borrowed for infrastructure projects to $150,000, rather than $100,000.
