All children turning five years old by September 1, 2020 are eligible to attend. The Early Learning Center is located at 3224 South Banker Street.

All children will receive a kinderkit to help them prepare for kindergarten, and parents will receive a sneak peek into the life of a kindergarten student.

For more information about the preview, phone the Early Learning Center at 540-1460.

Unit 40 has also scheduled screening for preschool and kindergarten age children. Screenings will take place March 16 from 9am to 3pm, March 17-19 from 9am to 1pm and from 2:30 to 5:30pm each day, and March 20 from 8am to noon. The screening program provides parents information on how their child is developing with regards to motor, academic, and language skills. The program is offered free of charge. It may take approximately one hour.

A developmental screening for children age newborn to three years old will also be available at the same time and location.
