Driver Injured in Crash at Fayette and 4th Sunday Morning

A local man was injured in a two-vehicle collision late Sunday morning.

City police say the crash occurred at 11:04am at Fayette and 4th. A vehicle driven by 36-year-old Jeremy Deters of Montrose turned in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Maximillian Arroyo of Effingham.

Arroyo was injured in the crash and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Deters was cited for failure to yield.
