Altamont Resident Injured in Tuesday Evening Crash

An Altamont resident was injured in a crash in Banner Township Tuesday evening.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash occurred at 6pm on 2100th Avenue at Shelby County Road 2900 East. 

Deputies report a SUV driven by 19-year-old Ocea Lindsey was traveling southbound. The vehicle continued south through a T-intersection and struck a tree.

Lindsey was treated by Abbott Ambulance at the scene. No citations were issued.
