Three people were injured in a crash Friday night in Jasper County.

State Police report the crash occurred at 6:18pm on Illinois Route 33 at the Bogota Road, just outside Newton. A minivan driven by 15-year-old Madisyn McIntosh of Oblong crossed the centerline and struck a car driven by 46-year-old Liberty Nuebling of Effingham head-on.

McIntosh and Nuebling were both injured, as was McIntosh's passenger, 76-year-old Beverly Laino of Oblong. All three of those injured were transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham with what authorities termed non-life threatening injuries.

McIntosh was cited for improper lane usage.
