Effingham city police have released details on a Friday incident where a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The incident occurred at 12:31pm at 1104 West Fayette. Police report a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Harold Homann of Altamont backed into the pedestrian, 62-year-old James Kuhns of Effingham.
Kuhns was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
