Altamont Woman Injured in Wednesday Evening Crash

An Altamont woman was injured in a Wednesday evening crash.

33-year-old Roberta Ballinger was traveling south on I-57, about a mile north of Neoga, when her vehicle drifted across the east fog line and off the east shoulder. The vehicle struck a guardrail and came to rest in the left lane of a construction zone.

Ballinger was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Ballinger was cited for improper lane usage. The crash happened at 5:32pm.
