Local Man Found Dead; No Foul Play Suspected

A local man was found dead in his home Monday evening.  No foul play is suspected.

A family member found 30-year-old Jonathan Wernsing of Effingham unresponsive in the residence.  Effingham city police and Effingham City-County Ambulance personnel responded and then summoned County Coroner Duane Guffey.

An initial investigation did not disclose a likely cause of death.  An autopsy was being conducted Tuesday.

Guffey's office and city police are continuing their investigation into Wernsing's death.
