Details on Two Friday Crashes in Town

Effingham city police have released information on two crashes resulting in injuries that occurred on Friday.

One happened at 1:40pm at 610 North Henrietta. Police report a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Steven Grobengieser of Xenia backed into a parked vehicle owned by Effingham Taxi, then struck a pedestrian, 47-year-old David Dawson of Effingham.

Dawson was injured, but refused treatment. No citations were issued.

The other incident occurred at 3:39pm at Maple and Fayette.

Police report a bicycle operated by 21-year-old Adriel Delacruz of Effingham struck a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Philip Nosbisch of Effingham. 

Delacruz was injured, but refused treatment.

No citations were issued.
