A crash on Illinois Route 128 Monday morning left two people injured.
The crash happened at 1850th Avenue in Liberty Township, south and west of Beecher City, at 9:20am.
Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Candus Lorton of Cowden was stopped at a stop sign, waiting to turn north onto Route 128, while a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Kaylee Davis of Shelbyville was traveling north on Route 128 approaching the intersection. Lorton's vehicle pulled into the path of Davis' vehicle, resulting in a collision.
Both Lorton and Davis were injured and both were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
Lorton was cited for failure to yield at the intersection.
