A Ramsey man faces five years in prison after pleading guilty to a count of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon.
27-year-old Derek Trumbold was arrested in July after striking an elderly family member. In exchange for the plea, two other counts of aggravated battery, one involving a victim over 60 years old, the other involving a family member, were dismissed. The same victim was involved in each charge.
Trumbold will face one year of mandatory supervised release once released from prison.
