Olney Attorney Runs for State Senator

Olney attorney Jeff Fleming has announced he is a candidate for State Senator in the 55th District in 2020.

Fleming is a native of Wayne County and graduated from Fairfield Community High School, but moved to Olney in 1974. Fleming is an attorney and a U of I graduate who also graduated from the U of I College of Law.

Fleming said he is "Pro-God, Pro-Gun, and Pro-Life". He said his experience in law and accounting, as well as his work as a member of the National Speakers Association, would be assets in Springfield.

Fleming joins St. Rep. Darren Bailey of Xenia as candidates for the 55th District Senate seat. Incumbent St. Sen. Dale Righter of Mattoon is not seeking re-election.
