Two Injuries in Crash at Banker and Clark

The drivers of each vehicle involved were injured in a collision at South Banker Street and Clark Avenue in Effingham Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred shortly after 3pm and halted southbound travel on the Banker Street overpass for a time. All lanes were open again as of about 3:30pm.

The driver of one car was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. The other driver was treated at the scene. 

A pickup truck and a station wagon were involved in the crash. The impact caused the station wagon to overturn.

Effingham Police and Fire Departments were on scene, along with Abbott EMS.
