Eastbound Interstate 70 is open again between Altamont and Effingham following two early morning incidents.
One incident involved a semi that broke down. The other incident involved a truck swerving to avoid hitting a deer. The second of two pup trailers being pulled by the semi overturned.
There were no injuries to humans or to the deer. The incidents did cause traffic backups and a diverting of eastbound traffic off the interstate onto US Route 40 at Altamont.
Things were back to normal by about 7:30am.
