Injury Accident on I-57 Early Saturday

State Police report a crash ocurred on I-57 at 3:11 Saturday morning at milepost 162.  Veda Macon, 40 of Berkeley, Missouri, fell asleep and drove her car into the rear of the semi-trailer being towed by a semi opperated by Dillard Graham, 56 of St. Louis, Missouri and both vehicles were disabled in the roadway.

Macon was transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. 

She was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid An Accident.
