Two Injured in Crash North of Beecher City

Two people were injured in a crash on Illinois Route 128, two miles north of Beecher City, Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 5:25am when a semi hauling 165 hogs left the north side of the highway. The vehicle combination then flipped over, sliding off the north side of the roadway and coming to rest in a ditch.

The truck driver, 45-year-old Robert White of Jackson, Illinois, was injured as was a male juvenile. Both were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

White was cited for improper lane usage.
