Brownstown School Board May Meeting

Budget matters were discussed Monday by the Brownstown Board of Education.
The Board approved the start by Superintendent Doug Slover of work on the new fiscal year budget, and the putting on display of an amended budget for this fiscal year. The Board also agreed to seek bids on commodities; agreed to seek renewal of an application for child nutrition, Illinois free lunch and breakfast, and food distribution programs.
The Board agreed to seek grant applications for improving academic achievement and for teacher quality. Approval was also given to the elementary and junior/senior high school student handbooks.
