Fayette County Death Under Investigation

Fayette County Coroner, Dave Harris, reports that early Sunday morning, July 14, he responded to a death in Vandalia. 

Nikki L. Handegan, 36 of Vandalia, was discovered dead by a co-worker at their place of employment.  

An autopsy will be performed today in Effingham. 

No further information is being released at this time as the matter is still under investigation by the Fayette County Coroner's Office and the Vandalia Police Department.
