Cowden-Herrick school board members took action on a number of items at this week's meeting.

The Board approved a co-operative agreement in soccer with the Altamont school district. The Altamont board approved the agreement earlier this week. The Board also approved refinishing the high school gym floor, approved drainage work for the parking lot at the Herrick school building, and decided not to pursue oil and chipping the high school parking lot.

Board members voted to hire Laack Floor to replace the floor in a Kindergarten classroom, hired Smith's Construction to repair or replace the Herrick storage shed roof and voted to remove the student parking lot fee. A bid was accepted from Miller Oil for gasohol and for clear diesel fuel, and from South Central FS for LP.

The Board accepted the resignation from Charlotte Blickem as a bus driver, and voted to move Chad Ruot from custodian to maintenance pay, effective July 15.
