Injury Accidents in Effingham

Effingham City Police have reported on a couple of injury accidents that have happend so far this month.

On Monday June third at 4:25 P.M. north of the intersection of 3rd and Roadway a vehicle driven by Meghan R. Anders, 25, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by John L. Verdeyen, 66, of Altamont. Verdeyen sustained injuries but refused treatment.

Anders was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

On Monday June 17th at 11:29 A.M. at 1204 Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by James A.Wilhelms, 68, of Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Anthony M. Fisher, 23, of Effingham. 

A passenger in Fisher’s vehicle, Jayde N. Jupin, 17, of Effingham, sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’sMemorial Hospital for treatment. 

No citations were issued.
