Dozens of Vehicles Involved in Crash on I-70 in Indianapolis

Update: NBC affiliate WTHR is reporting that there was one death in the multi-vehicle crash, one that investigators are saying will take days to piece together. The Interstate has re-opened in both directions.
Original story: If you're headed to Indianapolis, get ready for massive traffic backups due to a crash involving dozens of vehicles.
The crash occurred just after 2pm on I-70 in Hendricks County, Indiana. Reports are that the crash occurred in heavy snow and whiteout conditions.
The crash included 20 semis and another 15-20 other vehicles. Reports indicate a dozen people have been taken from the crash scene for medical treatment.
State police are saying I-70 eastbound will be closed in that area until around 11pm and westbound lanes until about 10pm. Reportedly, traffic is backed up 10 miles from the Plainfield, Indiana exit, about 10 miles west of Indianapolis.
