Abbott EMS Ready to Show Off New Effingham Facility

Abbott EMS is welcoming the community to view its new Effingham location later this week.

A Grand Opening for the facility is planned from 1 to 4pm Friday, June 14 at 814 North 3rd Street. Construction on the facility began last October and the operation has been located in the new building.

An Abbott spokesman said even though Abbott EMS has already been a provider in the Effingham community, operating out of a location on North Wenthe Drive, the move was a necessary one. A statement from Abbott reads "over the past couple of years, the Effingham branch has expanded rapidly, continually hiring local EMTs and Paramedics to run the county's Emergency and Non-Emergecy calls."
