Local Man Injured in Crash Tuesday

A local man was injured in a crash Tuesday morning.

74-year-old Donald Tonn of Heartville was injured when his vehicle collided with a vehicle by 34-year-old Brian Toops of Effingham at Banker and Jaycee on the south end of Effingham at 9:35am.

Tonn was taken by private vehicle to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Toops was cited for failure to yield when turning left.

Another crash involving an injury was reported Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at 2:11pm at Fayette and Banker. A vehicle driven by 42-year-old Angie Miller of Shelbyville collided with a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Antonia Green of Greenville. 

Green was injured and was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony's.

Miller was cited for failure to yield.
