Fayette County Authorities Investigating Death of Former Brownstown Woman

Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris released a statement Monday morning in regard to a suspicious death in Fayette County:

"A 32 year old white female from Highland, Illinois, formerly of Brownstown was taken by ambulance to Fayette County Hospital early Monday morning, May 27th. She was pronounced dead at approximately 1:31 a.m. the same day. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

At this time no further details will be released pending further investigation by the Fayette County Coroner's Office, Fayette County Sheriff's Office, and the Illinois State Police."
