Village of Dieterich, Country Companies Contribute to County K-9 Unit

The Village of Dieterich and area Country Companies agents have contributed toward the cost of a County K-9 unit.

Dieterich officials presented a check to Sheriff David Mahon and the Effingham County Sheriff's Office for $500.

Country Financial agents presented the sheriff and the department with a check for $3,000.

The funds raised will be used to acquire and train a new K-9 unit for the sheriff's department.

Participating in the presentation by the Village of Dieterich were Village Trustees Carrie Galbraith, Jeff White and Steve Kibler; Sheriff David Mahon; Village President Brad Hardiek; and Village Trustees Mike Meyer, Mike French and Bill Lane.
