Canarm currently operates out of Farmweld, but the Canadian-based lighting firm is discussing locating a distribution center for Teutopolis.
The action by the Board allocates Tax Increment Financing dollars as well as general funds that could be obligated toward the project. The funds would only be made available should the distribution center be located in the village.
The Board tabled action on a change in the zoning ordinance to regulate accessory buildings, and reviewed liquor license applications for the new fiscal year beginning May 1.
Board members voted to grant 4% pay increases to all village employees as of May 1, and increased the pay of Building Official Tony Esker by $100/month.
