Lincoln Presentation Tonight at Courthouse Museum

A free presentation on Lincoln's First Year in Illinois will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Effingham County Courthouse Museum, located at 110 E. Jefferson Ave. in Effingham.

The Courthouse Museum doors will open at 6 p.m. Period music by the local FACE Orchestra will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the beautifully restored second-floor court room with the program beginning at 7 p.m. Speakers include Lake Land College history instructor, David Seiler, who will set the stage for life in Illinois in 1830. The Honorable Ron Spears, retired circuit judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit and Lincoln enthusiast, will deliver the main presentation with stories about Lincoln's first year in Illinois.

This is the 5th Annual Celebration of Lincoln and His Times brought to you by the Effingham County Museum and Lake Land College.
