The Effingham observance of the 2019 National Day of Prayer is set for Wednesday, May 1, one day earlier than the national observance on Thursday, May 2.

The event will run from 7:30am to 9am at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. This year's national theme is "Love One Another".

Rev. Tony Munoz, pastor of Iglesia Batista Latina de Effingham, will lead the musical worship. The guest speaker will be author, composer and filmmaker Craig Lindvahl.

There is no charge for admission, but you are asked to pick up free tickets so a proper headcount for breakfast can be obtained. Tickets are available at 979XFM/KJ Country 102.3 at Fayette and Willow in Effingham, and at Tom Henderson State Farm Insurance Agency at 3rd and Section in Effingham.
