Quilt Donation Labor of Love for Local Lutheran Church

A committee of women from St. John Lutheran Church in rural Dieterich donated 229 quilts to Lutheran World Relief.

The donation on March 31 follows twice-weekly gatherings since early January to sew the quilts. Kathy Breedlove stated, "It's a labor of love."

The quilts will start their journey to those in need within the coming weeks.

Quilts last year went to South America, Africa, and India as well as eastern Europe.
