Teutopolis Fire Protection District firefighters, the Effingham County Sheriff's Department, and personnel and staff from Teutopolis Unit 50 schools will conduct training Monday at 6pm at Teutopolis High School.

The agencies will conduct live scenarios of Rescue Task Force training, where fire department personnel work with sheriff's deputies in an active threat event.

Fire personnel have been training with the Sheriff's Department since late last year for such events. Personnel will be wearing ballistic protection equipment not normally worn by firefighters.

You might witness increased first responder presence around Teutopolis High School Monday evening, but there's no cause for concern.

The training should conclude around 8pm.
