Both drivers were injured when two vehicles collided near Teutopolis Tuesday morning.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department said the crash occurred at 10:55am at the intersection of Illinois Route 33 and 1600th Street about a mile southwest of Teutopolis.

Deputies report a car driven by 18-year-old Roddnie Deters of Teutopolis was turning off 1600th Street onto the highway and collided with a vehicle driven by 58-year-old William Copper of Newton. Deters and Copper were both taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Deters was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
