Brownstown School Board Acts on Various Matters

Brownstown school board members acted on various matters at this month's meeting.

The Board agreed that the Brownstown district will be the administrative agent for the Fayette County Early Childhood Block Grant for next school year; approved an intergovernmental agreement on alternative education programs; and approved a resolution to voluntarily dissolve the Bond/Fayette Region Joint Agreement.

The Board approved a resolution providing for the issue of general obligation refunding school bonds; approve a five-year renewal agreement with NewWave Communications as Internet provider; agreed to the posting of a maintenance and custodial position for the 2019-2020 school year; and approved the school calendar for the coming school year.
