Oldest Living Veteran in Illinois Dies; Was From Louisville

A Louisville resident who was the oldest living veteran in the state of Illinois has died. Raymond Boose was 106 years old.

Mr. Boose was born in 1912 in Bible Grove. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was also a longtime employee of the North Clay school district as a bus driver and superintendent of maintenance.

While private graveside services will be held, a visitation is going on Tuesday evening at Triplett and Neal Funeral Home in Louisville.
