Workman Complex Open After Gas Odor Corrected

The Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex re-opened Thursday afternoon after being closed at mid-morning due to a gas odor.

Ameren assisted the Effingham Fire Department and Complex management. Crews determined the source of the gas odor was a heating and cooling unit on the southwest part of the roof.

The Complex re-opened about 3:30pm.
