(BOB FERGUS AND ANDREW PERRY)

Longtime Rotarian and local exterminator Bob Fergus served as guest speaker at the Noon Rotary meeting on January 23.

Fergus at one time handled pest control at the White House. He worked there during the Johnson, Nixon and Ford administrations before coming to Effingham.

Fergus discussed his interactions with Presidents Johnson and Nixon, and talked about the Watergate years when a different kind of bug was involved in Washington politics.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Andrew Perry, a senior at Effingham High School and the son of Greg and Lee Ann Perry.
