Neoga school board members acted on a variety of items at this month's meeting.

The Board heard from Patrick Rice of the Illinois Association of School Boards, who presented results of goal-setting meetings hosted by the district. Rice also allowed the Board to provide input on goals they feel are important. Results will be forwarded to the District and goals will be adopted.

Superintendent Ben Johnson presented the monthly cash flow report, noting that most of the funds continue to be in stable condition, with the exception of Transportation. Johnson said the Transportation Fund will continue to be monitored, as the District has received no funds from the State for transportation for the fiscal year.

The Neoga board passed the tax levy for the coming fiscal year, and approved the YMCA After School Program agreement for Neoga Elementary School students, which will begin in January.

Board members voted to discontinue the junior high promotion effective this school year; employed Michelle Petska as high school girls softball coach; approved Tami Campbell as a non-paid volunteer junior high volleyball assistant coach; and accepted the resignation of Mackenzie Thurstonas junior high volleyball assistant coach.
