Three men have been charged with home invasion after an incident in Brownstown earlier this month.
18-year-old Brenden Byrum of Greenup, 20-year-old Anthony Bezroukoff of Effingham and 24-year-old Jordan Springer of Effingham are charged in Fayette County Circuit Court with alleged actions stemming from an incident October 16. The three are alleged to have entered a dwelling in the 200 block of E Street in Brownstown. They are also alleged to have been involved in injuring Blake Sefton with blows on his head and body. The three are charged either with actually inflicting the blows or with having been responsible for someone who delivered the blows.
The home invasion charge is a Class X felony, meaning prison time if convicted. The sentence would range between six and 30 years in prison.
The three are each also charged with a Class 3 felony count of aggravated battery, punishable by up to two to five years in prison, and a Class 4 felony count of criminal trespass to residence, punishable by up to one to three years in prison.
Byrum has made his initial court appearance. His bond was set at $35,000 and he will make his first court appearance with counsel on November 16.
Bezroukoff is due in court today.
There is still an active warrant for Springer's arrest.
