Today the Deadline to Pay Property Taxes

Today is the deadline to pay your Effingham County property tax bill if you want to avoid a 1-1/2% per month penalty for late payment.

The Effingham County Treasurer's Office will be open until 4pm today. The office is located on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building. You can also pay your bill at any county financial institution, and you can pay online. You can still pay by mail today, if it's postmarked with today's date.
