The St. Elmo Board of Education agreed Wednesday to put a 1% sales tax question on the April election ballot.

If approved, revenue generated by the tax could be used on school facilities. All school districts with land in Fayette County are being asked to put the question on the ballot.

The Board also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Vandalia school district for Special Education programs, and gave approval to two FFA students and their sponsor attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

The St. Elmo board approved employment of Landon Feezel as fifth grade basketball coach and the employment of Zeke Asher as sixth grade basketball coach.
