Two Injured in Friday Afternoon Crash in Effingham

Both drivers were injured in a crash north of the intersection of Willow and Gordon Friday afternoon. City police released details on the crash Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred just after 4:30pm when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Chelsey Stuckemeyer of Altamont rear-ended a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Ross Petty of Effingham.

Both drivers were injured, but refused treatment.

Stuckemeyer was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
