Altamont school board members set the pay for sports officials when the Board met this week.

All officials got a five dollar pay hike: JV boys basketball to $55, girls JV and varsity basketball to $85, high school volleyball to $60, and high school baseball to $55. The one exception is that high school baseball umpires pay for doubleheaders will decrease by $10, to $90.

The Board also approved the pay for scorers bench personnel at $18 per contest. If someone helps with fresh/soph, JV and varsity contests on one night, their pay would be $54. It was also agreed to pay IHSA coaches training costs.

The Altamont District's salary and compensation report was approved for posting on the District website.

The Altamont board approved the audit for the past fiscal year conducted by Glass and Shuffett; appointed Kerry Wolff as a delegate to the state school board conference in November; and approved Carly Dorr and Nicole Ragan as volunteer Dance Team coaches.
